All About Us

Batley Parish Nursery is a 65 place setting. We pride ourselves on learning through play and believe this is how the children meet their highest potential. We are very proud of our nursery and we hope our web page will tell you a little more about us!

We offer 15 hour and 30 hour places. These hours can be taken in a range of ways. Please see below for the options of how the hours can be taken.

15 Hour Place - All 3 year olds are entitled to 15 hours.

Option 1

A daily morning session. This session is every week day morning 9:00am - 12:00pm.

Option 2

A daily afternoon session. This session is every week day afternoon 1:00pm-4:00pm.

Option 3

A flexible place. This option is usually taken across 2.5 days. A full day session runs from 9:00am - 3:00pm and the children stay for lunch.

30 Hour Place - Please remember as a family you need to be eligible for the 30 hours and every three months you will be required to present the school office with a new code to continue your eligibility.  Please see our 'Partnership with Parents' page for more information on our 30 hour places.

These hours can be taken every day (Monday-Friday) 9:00am-3:00pm.

Lunchtime is supported by an Early Years Practitioner and a lunchtime supervisor. We use this time to continue fantastic learning! There is an option for a school lunch which can be paid for through our online Parent Pay or you can provide your child with a packed lunch.

Our Nursery Mission Statement

At Batley Parish Nursery we provide a caring and nuturing learning environment. We follow the Christian values of respect, love, trust, friendship, forgiveness, equality and compassion. We support children as individuals following their interests as a planning base and work closely with parents as partners. Our children leave nursery confident and happy individuals who are able to critically think, be independent, play and explore and actively learn.

The Key Worker Role

It is the role of the key worker to oversee your child’s learning and development and lead them in some session group times. This member of staff will work closely with you as parents and guardians to ensure that your child receives the best education and care possible.

The EYFS Principles into Practice card (2.4 Positive Relationships – Key Person) says, ‘A key person has special responsibilities for working with a number of children, giving them reassurance to feel safe and cared for and building relationships with their parent/carers’.
